Bob Jeffrey, a native of Wales in the United Kingdom, has been hired as Silver Lake College's head men's soccer coach / director of soccer operations.
"What has really impressed me is the friendliness and dedication of all the staff at Silver Lake College, as well as the enthusiasm and the passion of the student-athletes in their desire to improve as soccer players," Coach Jeffrey said.
His philosophy is to play an open and attractive style of soccer so student-athletes can develop their tactical and technical understanding of the game.
"I hope to challenge the students both physically and mentally, and I would like them to have the confidence and ability to show their talents both in practices and in games," he said.
Coach Jeffrey, who moved with his family from Wales to Wisconsin last year, also works with North Shore United Soccer Club in Cedarburg as its director of goalkeeping and head coach for the U19 women's team, which won a state title last season. Llanelli won Wales FA Youth League Championships in 2008, 2009 and 2010; Wales FA Youth League Cups in 2009 and 2010; and the Wales FA Youth Cup in 2009.
