2017 Men's Golf Coaches
Steve Rezachek, a native of Two Rivers, Wis., has been the head coach of the Silver Lake College golf team since 2012.
"I’ve been involved in coaching for the past 41 years, and I’ve never lost the interest and passion for teaching young men and women the skills to be successful both in sports and life.
It's a joy seeing student-athletes strive to become the best they can be," said Steve, who was a 2005 inductee into the Manitowoc County Lakeshore All Sports Hall of Fame.
Steve has coached the varsity boys' golf team at Two Rivers High School for the past 17 years, and he also coached the TRHS girls' golf team for nine years. His other coaching experience in Two Rivers includes: varsity head girls' basketball coach from 1975 through 1986; varsity head boys' basketball coach from 2005 to 2009; varsity assistant boys' basketball coach from 2002 to 2004; and freshman boys' basketball coach from 1986 to 2001.
Steve was a member of the golf, basketball and cross country teams at Two Rivers High School before graduating in 1968. He went on to attend Manitowoc Teachers College for two years and played basketball and golf. He then transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, where he played golf as well.
Steve and his wife, Betsy, have three sons - Shaun, Ryan and Aaron (who passed away as the result of a car accident in 2005). They also have four grandchildren - Dakota, Adaiah, Karstaen and Madison.
Steve enjoys golfing with his grandson Dakota and friends, as well as taking part in all of his grandchildren's activities.
